Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The post holder will be a role model of effective educational practice in a specialised SEMH/SCLN setting for all staff and children. The key duties are as follows:
· To act as a pastoral and curriculum keyworker for a group of students within a nurture base model.
· To manage the delivery of literacy, numeracy and PSHE to their keyworker group in line with the guidance of the Academy Subject Leads implementation and evaluation of progress.
· To manage the delivery of LifeSkills and Food for their keyworker group with shared responsibility for content planning, resourcing, implementation, and evaluation of progress.
· To manage and guide any TA that accompany the young people in the classroom.
· To contribute to achieving the aims of Academy and Department Development Plans.
· To work with other professionals and parents and carers who are involved with a young person.
· To monitor attendance and achievement and work with home and other professionals to maximise the young person’s chances of success.
· To engage young people in an appropriate manner considering their SEMH/SCLN needs.
· To contribute to annual reviews.
