Salary – Grade 12, £21,074 - £23,886
The SEND Casework Team has recently undergone a restructure designed to create the most effective team possible. This team (part of the newly formed Inclusion Service within SCC) oversee a range of statutory support to meet the needs of CYP in education aged between 0-25 years. Consistently aiming to make a positive difference to the lives of CYP with SEND and their families. Provision of this support is based upon the SEND Code of Practice 0-25 viewed alongside the School Funding Reforms of 2013.
5 x Review and Assessment Officer posts are being advertised as a secondment opportunity or 12 month fixed term contract, to provide capacity to the team whilst all those CYP with SEND are transitioned across to an Education and Health Care Plan. The post holders will be responsible for ensuring CYP with SEND receive an Education Health and Care Assessment and Review within a timely manner which meets their needs.
Excellent communication skills are essential as the role will liaise with CYP, parents and a range of professional stakeholders. A knowledge of SEND and excellent organisational skills are essential attributes of potential candidates, along with a positive mindset to embrace a challenging role.
